How this calculator works

Risk budget = account equity × risk percentage ÷ 100. Position size divides that budget by the modeled loss per BTC at your stop, including fees and adverse slippage at entry and exit.

The stop must be below the entry for a long and above it for a short. The size is limited by account equity × leverage using the entered price, and BTC quantity is rounded down to eight decimal places. Leverage changes the margin needed; your stop and risk budget determine the risk-based size.

These are linear BTC/USD scenarios in USD, not inverse or coin-margined contracts. Fee rates, margin requirements and contract sizing vary by venue. The calculator does not estimate a liquidation price, verify venue limits or guarantee a trade outcome.
